 People ask me all the time, with a smile and raised eyebrows, “So...how did you end up doing this?” This question comes up, I suppose, because chemical engineering, massage therapy, and organic body products do admittedly seem like an interesting career combination.
 Well, I can only shrug and smile – it’s my path. During the 5 years I spent working as a chemical engineer in the pharmaceutical industry, I became increasingly interested in alternative medicine. I acted upon this interest by becoming licensed in massage therapy and aromatherapy. The evolution of this line of organic body products delightfully reflects my own development as an engineer, therapist, and mother.
 I make these products because I know first-hand how difficult it is to maintain the soul-quality of a product when it is mass-produced. All of the products here at Belisama Bodyworks, LLC are made on an artisan scale under FDA guidelines, and we ensure that every molecule that goes onto your skin is infused with light and love. I’ve trimmed out all the synthetics that populate the products available in conventional and health food stores, and have replaced them with organic, fresh, and local ingredients.
 Now that I have a beautiful daughter of my own, I feel even more strongly about the importance of making natural, fresh products available for everyone. These products are the synthesis of everything I believe in – best wishes to you as you enjoy them!
